Bayside Peninsula Occupational Therapy is a boutique service providing wholistic best practise individual and small group services in your home, and in our rooms at Frankston, servicing clients, their families and service providers across the beautiful Frankston, Mornington Peninsula, Bayside districts and surrounds.
Hi there and thanks for reading! Bayside Peninsula Occupational Therapy has been operating in Frankston since September 2020, and it is time now for a new webpage!
We are very happy to say that the journey over the past 2 years has been most exciting and very rewarding! We have developed positive relationships with so many wonderful local clients and fabulous service providers.
We provide services for senior, adult, teenager and some young children, with referrals from Aged Care, DVA, Medicare
and NDIS clients and providers. Referrals are accepted via phone call or direct emails.
The principal Occupational Therapist Vivienne has many years of experience with aged care, disability, psycho-social and paediatric clients, having worked previously in hospitals, community health, with specialist disability agencies, in schools and in private practise, in clinical, management and education roles. Vivienne shares an Office with a Clinical Psychologist, allowing for some wonderful collaborative outcomes for our clients. We aim to provide you with all the support you require, working alongside you on your journey to greater self discovery, use of your own strengths and resources, and greater independence.
We love living and working in our local community! Our primary focus here at Bayside Peninsula Occupational Therapy is to assist you in doing and in being your best in your occupations and environments at home, at work, at school, in leisure and in the community. Occupational Therapists are specialists in helping you identify your own skills, and in facilitating ways for you to achieve your goals, through the use of assessments, meaningful activity, environmental modifications, specialised equipment and adapted techniques. We aim to provide you with greater capacity to identify and to use your talents, no matter what your age or circumstance, enjoying both your journey and your hoped for destination for more joy, peace, freedom and independence, and interaction with others.
Bayside Peninsula Occupational Therapy provides comprehensive and caring services to our seniors living in the community, receiving care packages, or in residential care. DVA client referrals are most welcome, as are clients with Medicare referrals. We provide skilled interventions such as falls prevention strategies, recommendations for modifications to your home, assistance with specialised home and mobility equipment selection ensuring your safety, well being, independence and well supported care. We are most sensitive with providing end of life support services. We liaise closely with you, your family, and your service providers, ensuring a prompt, reliable and timely service.
Bayside Peninsula Occupational Therapy works with NDIS funded (plan or self-managed), clients providing Functional Capacity Evaluations, Home Modification and Equipment Needs Assessments, Reports and Recommendations. We provide Therapy programmes for helping you achieve your lifestyle and recovery goals in areas of personal care, community access, home management, leisure, and work participation. We are happy to develop habit and routine training programmes with you. We welcome referrals from group homes, for individual referrals, group support and education for carers.
For 2023 we hope to introduce the following groups:
- Can Do Housework
- Decluttering Support
- Fun Cooking (Adults and/or children)
